We have seen mammoth home runs hit so deep in ballparks.
But this? This is not that.
Because Colorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle hit a pitch against the Cincinnati Reds like … three feet? Five feet? Whatever the distance was, it was right in front of the plate. And Cincy catcher Luke Maile simply had to grab the ball and tag him. It’s just that simple, proving baseball is … a game of inches (sorry, not sorry).
So what did Doyle do? What else could he do but laugh? That’s what I would do in that situation.
