Wisconsin has its veteran signal-caller for 2024, as the program received a commitment from former Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke this afternoon.
Van Dyke has one year of eligibility remaining after starting for the last three seasons in Miami. During that time, he totaled 7,469 yards, 54 touchdowns, 23 interceptions, 8.2 yards per attempt and a 63.7 completion percentage.
He arrived at Miami as a four-star recruit in the class of 2020 and is now rated by 247Sports as a four-star transfer and the No. 12 overall transfer quarterback.
The Badgers’ quarterback room now consists of Van Dyke and underclassmen Nick Evers and Braedyn Locke. While there may be further movement within the room, I’d expect a position battle throughout the offseason.
