The Oregon Ducks missed out on one of the top transfers in the portal on Friday afternoon, with former UCLA Bruins’ edge rusher Mitchell Agude announcing that he will be joining the TK for the 2022-23 season.
Agude, who is a former all-Pac-12 player, chose the Miami Hurricanes over the Ducks and the Washington Huskies.

Agude dealt with a leg injury for much of the 2021 season but was selected by the Pac-12 coaches as a second-team all-conference performer, racking up 54 tackles, 6.5 tackles-for-loss, two sacks, and four forced fumbles. In his career with UCLA, he has 14.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, and 6 forced fumbles.

Had they been able to add Agude, Oregon would have yet another talented player joining what already looks to be an impressive front seven, led by Noah Sewell, Justin Flowe, Brandon Dorlus, and Popo Aumavae. The Ducks also added former Washington defensive lineman Sam Taimani, who projects to be a big piece for the defensive front.
Instead, Agude chose Mario Cristobal, Oregon’s former head coach, and the glamour that ‘The U’ promises down in the ACC.
