Wisconsin basketball’s first big domino of the offseason has fallen. According to CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein, Wisconsin forward Tyler Wahl will be back for a fifth season in Madison.
Wahl has one remaining year of eligibility to use in Madison due to his COVID-19 year. Last season, the Minnesota native averaged 11.3 points per game and brought down 6.3 rebounds per contest while leading the Badgers on the defensive end.
He brings experience, a post-scoring threat, and leadership to a Badger team looking to get back to the dance in 2023-24. Wahl has spent the past four seasons in Madison, and has averaged over 11 points per game in each of the last two seasons.
Tyler Wahl tells me that he's returning to Wisconsin next season and will use his additional year of eligibility.
