Wisconsin’s class of 2024 will have a unique look to it when the cycle concludes. The program does not currently have a commitment from any of the top six in-state recruits, something which has not been the case for as long as I can remember.
Nonetheless, it’s an impressive group at this stage in the cycle. Luke Fickell has landed six four-star recruits and currently boasts a blue chip ratio of 35%. While the cycle is far from complete, the class shouldn’t look much different than it does now when National Signing Day comes around.

Trends will be hard to iron out after only one full recruiting cycle under Fickell. But given his connection to the state of Ohio from his time at Cincinnati, Phil Longo’s ability to recruit quarterbacks and some other assistants excelling out East, the location-based breakdown of the class is an interesting look.
Will Wisconsin continue to focus on Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York? Will Fickell’s ties to Ohio start paying dividends? What happens in-state during the 2025 cycle?
There are many questions that are left to be answered. But for now, here is a breakdown of Wisconsin’s class of 2024 by state:
