Breaking down the TV broadcast maps for Week 18

Which games will be on the FOX and CBS channels in your area during the day?

It’s going to be a different experience for Lions fans in Week 18. For the first time all season, the Lions are playing in a night game.

That means the normal 1 p.m. window offers different viewing options. For fans in Michigan and the Midwest, that likely means the choice of watching the Vikings vs. the Bears or the Patriots and Bills battle in the AFC.

The blue markets on the map here from 506 Sports will get the NFC North battle on their local FOX affiliate. Folks in the red areas, which includes Toledo and extreme SE Michigan, will get the Jets and Dolphins.

The CBS early broadcasts strongly feature the AFC East battle between the Bills and Patriots, in red below. If New England wins, they make the playoffs. Baltimore vs. Cincinnati is the blue region game.

In the late-afternoon window, FOX viewers in Michigan will get the important matchup between the Rams and Seahawks. That game will be aired in the regions in blue on the map below. The red area is Dallas vs. Washington, while green gets Arizona vs. San Francisco.

The Lions and Packers play in the Sunday Night Football national broadcast on NBC.
