It has always been obvious that the NCAA placed more resources on the Men’s NCAA tournament than the Women’s NCAA tournament.
That was made clear this year when the differences between something as simple as their weight lifting in their bubble setups were displayed all over the internet.
The men had a section that looked like an entire gym. The women simply had a weight tower. The situation was fixed, but only after it came to light over social media.
Though the differences there were obvious, we still didn’t have any idea what the actual numbers were. We had no idea what the NCAA was allocating where. We just knew it wasn’t good enough.
But now, we do. At least, we have an idea through budget data the NCAA unveiled on Friday to ESPN’s Heather Dinch.
Here are the details.
