The Green Bay Packers released the team’s first injury report of Week 10 on Wednesday. The Packers held a walkthrough and did not practice on Wednesday, so participation was an estimation by the team.
Seven players landed on the first report, including four new names.
Here’s a quick breakdown of the Packers’ injury report to start the week:
Full: DL Dean Lowry (hamstring)
Great news for Lowry, who played 22 snaps in Kansas City. The Packers had him on a pitch count. Starting the week estimated as a full participant should mean he’s nearing 100 percent and ready to take on a bigger role against the Seahawks.
Limited: DL Kenny Clark (back), CB Eric Stokes (knee), DL Kingsley Keke (concussion), OT Dennis Kelly (back), WR Equanimeous St. Brown (ankle)
Plenty of good news here, too. Clark exited Sunday’s loss and didn’t return, but coach Matt LaFleur said Monday that the team didn’t feel it was a long-term issue. Even participating in a limited capacity is good news for his potential availability for Sunday. The same goes for Stokes, who injured his knee in pre-game warmups last week. Expect the Packers to give Clark and Stokes the full week to prove they can play, but as always, the team will provide take the cautious route. Keke, who missed last week, could be getting closer and closer to returning from a concussion. St. Brown is another new injury.
Did not participate: TE Dominique Dafney (hamstring)
This could be a troubling new injury. Dafney played 25 snaps against the Chiefs, and the Packers are expecting his role to expand with Robert Tonyan (ACL) out for the season. The team is down to Marcedes Lewis, Josiah Deguara and Tyler Davis as the only three healthy tight ends. This might be the week Bronson Kaufusi gets called up from the practice squad to help depth.
Removed: TE Josiah Deguara, CB Kevin King, DL Jack Heflin
All three played against the Chiefs despite being listed on the injury report during Week 9. All three were removed to start Week 10. The big one here is King, who played well again and did not suffer a setback to his shoulder.
Other: LT David Bakhtiari
Bakhtiari was activated from the PUP list on Wednesday. He wasn’t listed on the team’s initial injury report but could show up starting Thursday. He is attempting to return after tearing his ACL on Dec. 31 of last year. Although possible, the Packers have not committed to him playing Sunday against the Seahawks.
