RUNNING BACK

Tee Hodge, 3-star from Maryville, Tennessee

Hodge comes right out of Tennessee’s backyard after a high school career that saw him win two 6A state championships at local powerhouse Maryville High School.

A longtime Tennessee commit, Hodge had a penchant for running over defenders as opposed to around them in high school. Wanted by programs such as Kentucky, Michigan, Penn State and several more, Hodge elected to stay close to home and join a running backs room that returns all its contributors from 2019.

Jabari Small, 3-star from Memphis, Tennessee

Out of Briarcrest High School in Memphis, Small is the No. 11 all-purpose-back in the country. Formerly an Ole Miss commit, Small comes to Knoxville as a former finalist for the DII-AAA Mr. Football Award.

At 5-foot-10, 193-pounds, Small brings an elusiveness that complements Hodge. The Vols have plenty of options at running back in 2020, so seeing Hodge or Small take a redshirt would not be a huge surprise.
