Brandon McManus named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week

After the Broncos defeated the Jets 37-28 last week, coach Vic Fangio said kicker Brandon McManus had “a hell of a night kicking the ball.” The NFL agreed.
McManus has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. McManus went 3-of-3 on field-goal attempts and 4-of-4 on extra points.
He kicked a 53-yard go-ahead field goal with 3:08 remaining in the game. McManus also converted 54- and 40-yard kicks in the win.
McManus is 27th player in franchise history to earn AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors and the first since safety Justin Simmons did so in 2017
