Joe Gibbs Racing announced that Brandon Jones will return to the organization full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series starting in 2025.

[autotag]Brandon Jones[/autotag] and [autotag]Joe Gibbs Racing[/autotag] will be together once again. On Tuesday morning, Joe Gibbs Racing announced that Jones will return to the organization full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series starting in 2025. The driver of the No. 9 car for JR Motorsports signed a multi-year contract with Joe Gibbs Racing. No car number was announced.

Jones was with Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota Racing from 2018 to 2022 and went to JR Motorsports. Most notably, Jones was on track to make the Championship 4 at Martinsville Speedway in 2022 before teammate Ty Gibbs, who already had a locked spot in the finale, dumped him going into Turn 1 on the final lap. It was a shocking development.

Since joining JR Motorsports, the 27-year-old driver has struggled and will miss the playoffs for a second straight season without a win in the next three races. Jones will likely see an uptick in performance returning to a team where he had the best years of his career. Jones is back at Joe Gibbs Racing, and it’ll be interesting to see how the team rounds out its driver lineup.
