Ja’Marr Chase is already better, per one of his QBs.

One thing that last year’s Cincinnati Bengals training camp had that 100 percent hasn’t been there this year?

Ja’Marr Chase “drop issues.”

In fact, after his Randy Moss-like debut, players around Chase say he’s even better than a year ago already.

Take quarterback Brandon Allen, currently repping in place of Joe Burrow, who says some of the finer details in Chase’s game have improved.

“It’s already scary to see him improve,” Allen said, per Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com. “He’s got a lot freer in his routes and disciplined in his routes. That’s because he’s been in the system for a whole year now so he’s got a big understanding of what the route needs to look like, how I can get myself open to work little techniques here and there. That will make him even better.”

Chase, the owner of a historical debut season, told onlookers there was zero chance he was going to have those drop problems again during the summer.

It was easy to believe him, especially considering he was coming off a year without playing. But now the proof is right there in the camp highlights for onlookers to see, never mind some of the smaller details that folks in the know like Allen have said look improved, too.
