Brandon Aiyuk needed 44 yards in Sunday’s game against the Cardinals to reach the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career. He blew past that number on the first play of the second half.
Aiyuk had 39 yards in the first half on three catches, leaving him five yards shy. Then the first play of the second half was a Brock Purdy throw over the middle to Aiyuk that went for 20 yards to put him at 59 for the day and 1,015 for the season.
He’s the 11th 49ers receiver to go over 1,000 yards, and he extended his team lead in receiving yards for the year.
