Prior to the start of the 2019-20 season, the Boston Celtics made the development of 7-foot-5 center Tacko Fall a priority for his upcoming rookie campaign.
That commitment to Fall appears to be paying off.
Celtics head coach Brad Stevens told reporters, according to Brian Robb of the Boston Sports Journal, that he has seen immense improvement by Fall this season, who was with the team at shootaround on Tuesday morning.
Fall has spent much of the season with the Maine Red Claws, the Celtics’ G League affiliate. In 27 games played, Fall is averaging 12.8 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.8 blocks. He ranks sixth among qualified players in rebounding and third in blocks.

Fall is playing more minutes now with the Red Claws, which is a result of his increased endurance and ability to defend without fouling. Fall struggled in that area earlier this season and has since improved. His size and strength in the post have often overwhelmed the opposition, which has made him dominant throughout the year.
