Brad Stevens deems pod on racial truth, reconciliation ‘must listen’

Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens deems a new Ezra Klein podcast on racial truth and reconciliation a ‘must listen’.

Racial justice has been at the forefront of the Boston Celtics’ minds for some time now, and head coach Brad Stevens is by no means excluded from that despite his race or role on the team.

Having spoken in support of his players’ and league’s efforts to center racial justice initiatives as part of the NBA and National Basketball Players Association (NBPA)’s agreement to do so with the Disney restart a number of times, it seems the Indiana native has been doing some listening of his own on the issue.

Stevens retweeted a podcast of the “Ezra Klein Show” that had been written up into an article for a variety of means of consumption.

The episode features Bryan Stevenson, founder of the Equal Justice Initiative and a professor of Law at New York University, Stevenson discusses truth and reconciliation initiatives and how they have helped bring a semblance of peace to countries in which they have been used to tackle difficult, deep-seated issues like racism.
