Brad Stevens challenges Celtics to finish season’s first half strong post-loss

The Boston head coach says the next four games will say a lot about where this team can go.

Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens had to felt the sting as much as anyone after his team dropped yet another game in embarrassing fashion, a 127 – 112 shellacking by the Atlanta Hawks that was among the worst games played by the Celtics in a decade if not longer.

He has certainly been feeling the heat from fans and analysts both, who have increasingly begun to question the former Butler chief’s fit as the coach this particular team needs. With his team president and majority owner in his corner, it seems the Indiana native’s job is safe, but that didn’t take away the frustration from the shameful lack of effort his team managed to assemble.

Speaking to the press after the game, Stevens did his best to challenge his team vicariously through the media.
