After defeating the Toronto Raptors in Game 7 on Friday, the Boston Celtics will now turn to face the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals beginning on Tuesday.

The Celtics will play a Heat team that has lost only one game thus far in the postseason after they nearly swept each of their first two playoff series. Miami has received a fairly balanced scoring attack thus far as several different players have stepped up to this point.

Heat rookie Tyler Herro is among those players and has played a significant role with the team in the playoffs in only his first season. Herro is averaging 14.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists during the playoffs and has come up with several huge shots in clutch moments.

The play of Herro has certainly caught the attention of Heat fans and of Celtics head coach Brad Stevens. On Sunday, Stevens spoke with the media and offered a mini scouting report on Herro, according to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald.

Herro figures to continue to be a big part of the Heat’s attack versus the Celtics. He has often served as the point guard on the floor and has helped move the offense effectively. His passing and ballhandling ability has improved and certainly something Stevens has noticed.

The rookie has impressed his teammates and coaching staff this season with his supreme level of confidence and that has shown on the floor. Herro hasn’t backed down from a challenge on the game’s biggest stage and that likely won’t change versus the Celtics.

Game 1 between the Celtics and Heat is set to tip-off on Tuesday.
