Brad Stevens calls for fans to help Greater Boston Food Bank

Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens is calling for help for the Greater Boston Food Bank from those in a position to do so in the midst of this pandemic.

As many people find themselves without work in the greater Boston area, they are forced to turn to others for help.

And with the coronavirus pandemic affecting almost every industry and walk of life right now, those in a position to do something need help.

With that in mind, Boston Celtics head coach recorded a video asking for help supporting the Greater Boston Food Bank that we have linked below.

Stevens message is as follows:

“Hi, this is Brad Stevens of the Boston Celtics. Like many of you, we’ve been sitting in our house this week as a family, trying to figure out how we could best meet the needs of our community and help serve those in need. The Greater Boston Food Bank has been doing just that, like it always does.

It provides healthy food for the hungry people that need it. They have an amazing warehouse operation that is obviously in high demand right now with their 530 agency partners in the 190 cities that they serve in eastern Massachusetts. If you are in a position to do so, please consider donating your money or your time.

And if you are in a position of need, please contact the food bank for help — we’re all in this together.
