B/R suggests Dalvin Cook as a player the Vikings should consider trading

Do you think trading Vikings running back Dalvin Cook is a good solution?

Vikings running back Dalvin Cook will refrain from team-related activities until he receives a reasonable deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

That deal could create problems for the Vikings. Bleacher Report thinks a solution might be trading Minnesota’s starting running back. Here’s what it said about Cook and the Vikings:

“If Cook really is considering holding out, the Vikings would be wise to see what they can get in return for him. Shelling out franchise-back money to a player who has missed 19 games in three seasons due to injury isn’t smart business and wouldn’t make a bit of sense for the Vikings.

Is Cook a tremendous player when healthy? Absolutely. But he’s also a major injury risk, one Minnesota should allow another team to assume for the right price.”

Assuming he’d still want a new deal, the trade might be hard to work out, unless it was a team that had plenty of cap space. There’s also the problem of Cook being a really good player, one that the Vikings shouldn’t trade away unless they’re rebuilding.
