B/R finds a new perfect fit for the Saints coaching search

Joe Brady has replaced Aaron Glenn as Bleacher Report’s perfect fit for the Saints head coach search:

Aaron Glenn has been called the perfect fit for the New Orleans Saints head coach search. It’s a common choice that lines up logically given his qualifications and history with the team. But Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay takes a different route for his perfect marriage of team and candidate.

Kay paired Glenn with the Jacksonville Jaguars and said the Saints’ best option is Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator, Joe Brady:

With the Saints in dire need an offensive-oriented coach who can rejuvenate a unit that has largely struggled to move the ball and score following Drew Brees’ retirement in 2021, bringing Brady back to Louisiana is the right call to kick off a new era.

Brady started his professional career as an assistant with the Saints, and built his much of his reputation in one year at LSU with Joe Burrow. He turned that into being the Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator. That didn’t go well.

After a quick flameout in Carolina, Brady took his talents to Buffalo. As quickly as he failed in Carolina, he built himself back up with the Bills. Brady became the interim offensive coordinator last year, and helped Josh Allen complete what could be an MVP season.

Brady’s stock is higher than ever now. Kay believes the Saints need an offensive coach, and that offensive coach is Joe Brady.
