The Crimson Tide were neck-and-neck with the Tigers heading into halftime. Things were nodded up at 21 a piece. After the half, Alabama outscored LSU 21-7 en route to a 42-28 victory.
A large reason for Alabama’s success came from its consistency in closing out the game. The Crimson Tide were solid on both sides of the ball. Tommy Rees and Kevin Steele had excellent game plans to slow down the Tigers.
