Prior to the Alamo Bowl last season, Herman reassigned his offensive coordinator and quarterback coach Tim Beck. He would end up heading to North Carolina State to run that offense. In the latest ESPN bowl projections, the Longhorns would play against the North Carolina State Wolfpack in the Cheez-It Bowl.

Under Beck, NC State averages 31.1 points per game. That is the 48th scoring offense in the country. On the flipside, the Longhorns allow 29.1 points per game. That puts Chris Ash’s unit as the No. 65 scoring defense in the country. Safe to say, that Beck will likely get to 30 points in that game.
