Bowl Tie-Ins: ACC vs. SEC
Wake Forest vs Texas A&M
RB Devon Achane, Texas A&M: A few of the star Aggies are opting out, but even if they were still around the 5-9, 185-pound Swiss army knife would still standout. Great no matter how he gets the ball in his hands, ran for 910 yards and nine scores and caught 24 passes for 261 yards and a touchdown. He’s also a devastating return man.
QB Zach Calzada, Texas A&M: Can the sophomore make a statement for the 2022 job? He’s been fine. He doesn’t turn the ball over, threw multiple touchdown passes in seven of his last ten games, and he was the star in the win over Alabama. However, he’s not accurate enough, connecting on just 56% of his throws.
QB Sam Hartman, Wake Forest: The Wake Forest offense is as breathtaking and dangerous as any in college football. However, the interceptions have been flowing over the second half of the season, including four in the ACC Championship loss to Pitt. When he’s on, just assume 300 passing yards and a whole lot of big plays.
WR AT Perry, Wake Forest: The Demon Deacons have a slew of offensive playmakers, and the 6-5, 205-pound Perry is the best and most dangerous of the bunch averaging 19 yards per grab. He hit the 100-yard mark six times with a team-high 1,166 yards and 14 touchdowns on his 61 catches.
