Nevada vs Western Michigan
WR Romeo Doubs, Nevada: Carson Strong needed to throw to someone. The 6-2, 200-pound Doubs has been a dangerous deep threat throughout his career, but this year he’s been more of a do-it-all target with 80 catches for 1,109 yards and 11 touchdowns. Quick for his size, he can be used as a punt returner, too.
DT Tristan Nichols, Nevada: Undersized for the interior, the 6-4, 245-pounder makes up for his lack of bulk with tremendous quickness. A decent pass rushing reserve in his first two years, he stepped up into an All-Mountain West star this year with ten sacks and 11 tackles for loss with 28 tackles.
WR Skyy Moore, Western Michigan: The team’s top offensive star, the 5-10, 195-pound Moore bounced back from on okay sophomore season to blow up for 92 catches for 1,257 yards and ten scores, finishing up the year with 24 grabs for 387 yards in his last two games, closing out with four touchdowns against Northern Illinois.
DT Ralph Holley, Western Michigan: A good part of the defensive line puzzle and rotation for several years, the fifth-year senior and All-MAC performer holds up fine against the run and get get into the backfield on a regular basis. The 35 tackles are fine, but his 5.5 sacks and 14.5 tackles for loss were terrific.
