Missouri vs Army
RB Jakobi Buchanan, Army: The 6-0, 260-pound battering ram of a fullback is a lock around the goal line – 11 touchdowns before the Navy game – and sets the tone for the Army attack with his bruising style. There’s nothing subtle about what he does – he’s Mr. Inside so the O can work on the outside.
LB Andre Carter, Army: The Knight defense generates a decent amount of pressure, and it mostly comes from a 6-7, 250-pound hybrid pass rusher who led the way with 14.5 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss to go along with 37 tackles. When he gets to the ball he’s a forced-fumble playmaker with four on the year.
RB Tyler Badie, Missouri: The 5-8, 194-pound speedster keeps on going as the one who makes the Missouri offense go. He might not look all that big or tough, but he can handle the beating and the workload, touching the ball well over 300 times with 1,604 rushing yards with 14 touchdowns and with 54 catches for 330 yards and four scores.
S Jaylon Carlies, Missouri: Fellow safety Martez Manuel leads the team in tackles, but Carlies isn’t all that far behind and he does a bit more when the ball is in the air. The 6-3, 204-pound rising playmaker was third on Mizzou with 68 tackles, and he led the was with four interceptions.
