Kent State vs Wyoming
QB Dustin Crum, Kent State: It’s time to make amends after a rough MAC Championship for himself and the team – losing to Northern Illinois with the offense stalling. The fifth-year senior has mastered the Golden Flash offense throwing for 2,922 yard and 16 scores and running for 633 yards and 11 touchdowns going fast, fast, fast.
CB Elvis Hines, Kent State: Dean Clark was the tough safety who did a lot of the dirty work, Hines was the All-MAC lockdown corner who had a huge fifth-year season. He might not be all that physical, but he came up with 61 tackles with three picks and ten broken up passes.
RB Xazavian Valladay, Wyoming: The veteran back might not be a workhorse, but he rips off yards in chunks and can be a difference-maker if he gets involved in the offense enough. He’s a good pass catcher and can be used in several ways, but his role is to keep cranking up five yards per carry.
LB Chad Muma, Wyoming: The 242-pound thumper was able to take two of his three interceptions for scores, and he can occasionally get into the backfield, but his job is to hold up against the run for the tough – but inconsistent – defense. He came up with double-digit stops in ten of his 12 games.
