In a historic and thrilling debut for the Boston Celtics at Madison Square Garden vs. his former ball club, the New York Knicks, star big man Kristaps Porzingis showcased his talent and made Celtics franchise history in his very first game playing for the Celtics, setting a new record for the most points scored for Boston in a debut performance with 30.

The Latvian big man lit up MSG with his exceptional performance, pulling down 8 rebounds and blocking 4 shots with 4 personal fouls and just 1 turnover in 38 minutes of play. Porzingis shot a sizzling 8-of-15 from the floor overall and a red-hot 5-of-9 from beyond the arc as well. The new Boston big man also sunk 9 of his 10 attempts at the free throw line for an exceptionally efficient tilt overall.
