Boston’s Jaylen Brown re-elected as NBPA executive committee vice president

Brown will immediately begin serving his second term in the role.

Star Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown has been re-elected as a vice president on the executive committee of the National Basketball Players’ Association (NBPA) for a second consecutive term in that role according to the Players Association on Thursday afternoon.

Brown was one of the youngest players in NBPA history when elected to that role for the first time, and his since forged a reputation as a leader in the league while using his considerable platform to fight for a number of causes both inside the league and in the wider world, leveraging his popularity as a player to further the fight for racial justice and equity, educational disparities, and in the league, mediating a number of critical issues.

The Georgia native will resume his role as an executive committee vice president immediately, according to a tweet from the NPBA.
