Boston’s Grant Williams and Pels’ Brandon Ingram took in Suns-Clips Game 5

Williams and his Pelicans counterpart picked quite the game to drop in and watch.

Evidently, soon-to-be third-year forward Grant Williams was enjoying himself some high-level playoff basketball Monday night along with a player from another NBA team, according to The Undefeated’s Marc J. Spears. The Tennessee product was at the Los Angeles Clippers’ impressive 116 – 102 win over the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Finals Game 5 held in Phoenix, Arizona.

It’s not entirely clear whether Williams came with New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram or both simply happened to be in attendance, but the two witnessed Paul George’s playoff career-high performance to help his team stave off elimination by the Suns with a 41-point explosion. It was certainly the right game of the series to drop in for Williams and Ingram, who were treated to one of the better offensive outings since early in the postseason.

That Los Angeles managed such a win without forward Kawhi Leonard and center Ivica Zubac made the win all the more impressive.

Hopefully (probably, knowing his personality), Williams was taking plenty of notes.
