Boston College will be without their top pass-rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku for Saturday afternoon’s Pinstripe Bowl against the Huskers. This was confirmed by multiple media outlets on Friday afternoon.
Ezeiruaku had a tremendous season for the Eagles. He had 16.5 sacks as well as three forced fumbles. The sacks tied a school record He was an all-American this past season, as well as the ACC Defensive Player of the Year. He received the Ted Hendricks award and first-team all-ACC honors.
This news is notable, as it may make life a bit easier for the Nebraska football offensive line. This also takes away one of Boston College’s top players overall.
Nebraska football will certainly be challenged by the Eagles, as they have several dynamic playmakers such as wide receivers Reed Harris and Lewis Bond. The backdrop of Yankee Stadium should make Saturday’s game an exciting one overall.
Boston College will be without starting DE Donovan Ezeiruaku and OL Ozzy Trapilo will not play in the Pinstripe Bowl, per HC Bill O’Brien.
Ezeiruaku was a consensus All-American who led the FBS with 16.5 sacks. #Huskers
