Boston Celtics earn incredible overtime win vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

A close, ugly contest for much of the game that saw both clubs without their starting centers, Boston finally broke through in the extra period to take control late in overtime

The Boston Celtics outlasted the Minnesota Timberwolves 127-120 in overtime as the NBA’s two best teams went head-to-head for the second time this season, the season series now a 1-1 split between the two ball clubs. All-NBA forward Jayson Tatum led all players in scoring with 45 points, and fellow star forward Jaylen Brown added 35 more points while both locked down the Wolves in overtime on the defensive side of the ball.

A close, ugly contest for much of the game that saw both clubs without their starting centers, Boston finally broke through in the extra period to take control late in overtime. The Celtics set a franchise record for the most home wins without a loss in a season in the process that has stood since the 1950s.
