Boston Celtics beat the Chicago Bulls 124-113 for their ninth-straight win

The Celtics avoided a familiar trap on a night when they were down three starts in Kristaps Porzingis, Jrue Holiday, and Jaylen Brown.

The Boston Celtics have had a few bad losses to the Chicago Bulls over the last few seasons, and this campaign, the Bulls also happen to be one of the best clutch ball clubs in the NBA. But the Celtics avoided a familiar trap on a night when they were down three starts in Kristaps Porzingis, Jrue Holiday, and Jaylen Brown.

The shorthanded Boston squad leaned into their reserves in starter roles, and got some excellent performances out of Al Horford (23 points, 8 rebounds), Sam Hauser (23 points, 5 boards), and Luke Kornet (8 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists) in particular.

NBC Sports Boston’s Tom Giles, Eddie House, Brian Scalabrine and Drew Carter sat down on “Celtics Postgame Live” after the win to talk over what they saw from Boston.
