Prediction
Mavericks 116, Celtics 112
Moneyline (ML)
The MAVERICKS (+110) are coming off their most impressive victory of the season and are a strong play as home dogs against the Celtics (-133). Dallas dumped the Eastern Conference-leading Milwaukee Bucks Monday by a 120-116 count on the road, without its MVP frontrunner in Doncic. PF Kristaps Porzingis stepped up with 26 points and 12 rebounds in the win.
The Celtics come into Wednesday on just their second two-game losing skid of the season, but they’ve been off for nearly a full week after losing 115-109 at home to the Philadelphia 76ers last Thursday. Take the value with the Mavs.
New to sports betting? A $10 bet on the Mavericks to win outright returns a profit of $11.
Against the Spread (ATS)
Stick with the moneyline rather than accepting a smaller payout on the spread for the underdog Mavericks (+2.5, -115). Liking them to win outright, there’s little insurance in the event of a loss while backing them to stay within just one possession.
Boston is 14-8 against the spread overall and 7-5 on the road. Dallas is 16-10 ATS overall but 6-8 at home.
Over/Under (O/U)
Take the OVER 216.5 (-125). The Mavs are 18-8-0 against the projected totals this season, and they top the projections by an average of 6.2 points per game. The Celts are 10-14 against the Over/Under but they fall an average of just 0.4 points shy of the number.
The Mavs hit the Over in each of their last three games, including the past two without Doncic.
