When Notre Dame quarterback Ian Book put up a photo on Instagram with his locker and the peace sign, we were led to believe that that was it for his Irish career. Well, those of us who took it that way were right as Book took to another social media site, Twitter, to confirm what we thought.
I will always carry ND with me. I'm eternally grateful for the faith and trust from the coaches, staff, professors and athletic department.
My teammates and I will always be connected by the bond that comes with wearing the gold helmet.
Thank you, Notre Dame!

The winningest quarterback in Notre Dame history will now move on. It was one hell of a ride for the former 3-star recruit, Book made the most of his Irish career. Brian Kelly has seemingly found his replacement in Wisconsin transfer Jack Coan.
There were obvious ups-and-downs, but there is one thing that we do know. He was a warrior who gave his all for the Blue and Gold faithful.
