Bobby Wagner has the perfect motto for playing in the cold

Bobby Wagner doesn’t wear sleeves no matter how cold it is, and he has the perfect mentality for keeping warm

It could be 2 degrees on game day and Bobby Wagner still wouldn’t wear sleeves. It won’t be quite that cold on Monday night when the Rams visit the Packers at Lambeau Field, but sub-20 degrees is still frigid.

The sleeveless Wagner has a perfect motto for playing in the cold, especially as a defender who wants to get off the field as quickly as possible.

“My mindset is the faster you make a play, the faster you get to the heaters. So if you cold, make a play so we can get to the heaters,” Wagner told reporters Thursday after revealing that he never wears sleeves.

Wagner has played in some cold games during his career after spending 10 years in Seattle with the Seahawks, but it’s been a long time since the Rams played one this cold. The lowest temperature for a game under Sean McVay was in 2018 when the Rams visited the Broncos and it was 25 degrees.

Monday’s forecast in Green Bay is getting a little bit warmer by the day, with temperatures ranging from 15-16 degrees, but it’ll still test the toughness of players throughout the night.
