Bobby Wagner comments on Seahawks’ big win over Lions

Here’s what future Hall of Fame linebacker Bobby Wagner had to say afterwards.

The Seahawks got a huge win against the Lions yesterday, avoiding an 0-2 start to the season. While Seattle was frankly fortunate to escape Ford Field with a win in overtime, the team couldn’t have done it without strong performances from a few key veterans.

At the top of the list, their starting quarterback Geno Smith played an almost-flawless game, totaling 328 yards, two touchdowns, no picks and only one regrettable sack that was entire his own fault. Next, Seattle’s criminally-underrated wide receiver Tyler Lockett scored twice – including the walkoff touchdown.

On defense, their future Hall of Fame linebacker Bobby Wagner helped keep the wheels from coming off against one of the top offenses in the NFL. Wagner posted 10 more tackles, bringing his season total to 28, the second-most in the league.
