[autotag]Bobby Green[/autotag]’s busy year will continue with a return to the octagon in October against [autotag]Thiago Moises[/autotag].
MMA Junkie today verified with a person close to the booking that Green (27-10-1 MMA, 8-5-1 UFC) and Moises (13-4 MMA, 2-2 UFC) have agreed to meet in a lightweight bout. The person requested anonymity because UFC has not yet made an official announcement. MMA Fighting first reported the news.
The Oct. 31 event takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card is expected to stream on ESPN+ or air on ESPN.
Green, 34, has already racked up three wins this year, beating Alan Patrick on Sept. 12, Lando Vannata in August and Clay Guida in June. If he’s able to get another victory, he would match the longest winning steak of his UFC career, which came in 2014.
Moises, 25, will look to add another notable name to his resume after netting the biggest win of his career. The Brazilian submitted Michael Johnson with an Achilles lock in May.
With the addition, UFC’s Oct. 31 lineup now includes:
- Anderson Silva vs. Uriah Hall
- Dustin Jacoby vs. Justin Ledet
- Maurice Greene vs. Greg Hardy
- Amir Albazi vs. Raulian Paiva
- Cortney Casey vs. Priscila Cachoeira
- Aaron Phillips vs. Adrian Yanez
- Sean Strickland vs. Wellington Turman
- Krzysztof Jotko vs. Makhmud Muradov
- Andre Fili vs. Bryce Mitchell
- Bobby Green vs. Thiago Moises
