The XFL has filed for bankruptcy after just a partial season, announcing it has no current plans for a 2021 season. Ex-Dallas coach Bob Stoops, who coached the Renegades to a 2-3 record in his time with the team, was among the largest creditors of the league. Stoops is now owed over $1 million from the XFL.

Stoops was among the largest names in the league. He added several former Oklahoma players to his team including former NFL quarterback Landry Jones and won two of his five total games with the team.
Prior to his short stint with the XFL, Stoops coached the Sooners from 1999 to 2016 before handing the reigns over to Lincoln Riley. He won one national championship in 2000, and coached Oklahoma to a 190-48 record in his 18 seasons.
Other creditors for the failed league included the St. Louis Sports commission, which is owed $1.6 million by the XFL, and Bexel Nep Integrated Solutions, which is owed $1.2 million. Stoops is owed third-most.
