The Boston Celtics have acquired Washington Wizards big man Kristaps Porzingis, along with the No. 25 pick in the 2023 NBA draft (since traded away in order to trade back for Arkansas forward prospect Jordan Walsh and four second round draft picks) and a top-4 protected first-round pick in 2024 from the Golden State Warriors.
As a result, Marcus Smart, a Celtics mainstay, is now a member of the Memphis Grizzlies after nearly a decade with the Celtics, and not everyone is all too happy about that new reality even in light of what Porzingis brings to the team at a position of need for the ball club.
