The early signing period ends in less than a week and it’s still a big mystery of who the Oregon Ducks will or will not sign.
If quarterback Bo Nix has any say, the Ducks will get the best players possible. He’s doing his part to help bring in the talent.
“You always want to leave somewhere better than you found it. So if I can help Oregon, where I’m at right this second, if I can help them sign a guy for next year, regardless if I’m here or not, that’s a really important thing,” Nix said.
One of those big-time talents Dan Lanning and his staff are pursuing is five-star quarterback Dante Moore out of Michigan. His decision might depend on whether Nix returns to Oregon for another season. Not being able to name specific recruits, the current Duck quarterback points out that no matter what, next season will definitely be his last season and those potential recruits will be in Eugene a lot longer than that.
“If that kid’s coming because I’m gonna be here and then they’re still gonna be here when I leave regardless next year, so they can’t just come because I’m gonna be here there’s a lot of other things a part of the decision,” Nix said. “They gotta come because they feel like they’re a fit to Oregon. But at the same time, you know, if I’m, if I’m here going through bulk prep, and I’m still part of this team, I’m gonna help the team as best as I can.”
