Bo Nix suffered ankle injury vs Mississippi State

Bo Nix is expected to miss some time.

The rumors appear to be true.

Message boards were filled with hearsay and speculation after Auburn’s 43-34 loss to Mississippi State about Auburn quarterback Bo Nix and his apparent ankle injury.

According to Jay G. Tate of Auburn Rivals (Paid Subscription), Nix suffered a “semi-serious” ankle injury early in the game and then later injured it again in the fourth quarter.

Justin Hokanson of Auburn Live (Paid Subscription) has reported that Nix was injured in the third quarter on the long pass to Ja’Varrius Johnson.

Nix was replaced by T.J. Finley.

Tate noted that it has not been clear how much time Nix will miss. Hokanson is saying similar things.

The Tigers have two games left this season. They travel to take on South Carolina this week and host Alabama for the Iron Bowl the following week to conclude the regular season.

Auburn is bowl eligible.
