Bo Nix says Broncos are locked in coming out of the bye week

“[We are a] very mature, focused and competitive team right now,” Broncos QB Bo Nix said.

After starting the season with an 8-5 record, the Denver Broncos had a bye in Week 14 before returning to host the Indianapolis Colts in Week 15.

After practice on Wednesday, Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix was asked if he’s told players to lock in coming out of the bye. Nix indicated they already are.

“The good thing is we have a locked-in team already,” Nix said. “They kind of have already brought the focus. We had a great day of practice today. Everybody’s into it. Everybody’s excited to make this run here the last four games of the regular season.

“I think that’s a good sign of a good team when you have that edge to you. You don’t really need guys telling you to lock. You just kind of have that mindset. [We are a] very mature, focused and competitive team right now.”

Sunday’s game will have huge playoff implications. Denver has a 91% chance of reaching the postseason with a win, a number that drops to 51% with a loss. The Colts have a 51% or 6% scenario depending on if they win or lose. It’s not a playoff game, but it’s pretty close to it. Buckle up.
