Blue Devils hosting a free Women’s College World Series watch party at Duke Softball Stadium

Duke fans who aren’t in Oklahoma City for the Women’s College World Series can still show out to support the softball team in Durham on Thursday.

Duke softball fans who didn’t make the trip to Oklahoma City for the first Women’s College World Series game in school history can still find a crowd in Durham.

The team announced a Thursday watch party at Duke Softball Stadium for Blue Devils fans to watch and cheer on the softball team together, completely free of charge.

Duke will take on Oklahoma, the team that walked away with the last three national championships, in the opening round at 2:30 p.m. Eastern time. The Sooners also beat the Blue Devils 3-0 in the first game of the season.

All Duke has done since is win the ACC regular-season title, the conference tournament, the Durham Regional, and the Columbia Super Regional. The Blue Devils have won five of their six postseason games thus far to earn a spot among the final eight teams.

Gates for the watch party open at 2 p.m., and the broadcast will be streamed on the stadium videoboard for all in attendance.

Duke fans can also watch the broadcast on ESPN.
