Bloodborne’s free PS1 demake is out now

The immensely in-depth fan project is out now.

Not many fan-made video game projects have reached the hype levels that Bloodborne PSX  has, and it’s out right now.

Game developer Lilith Walther is the brilliant mind behind Bloodborne PSX, and she’s offering this PS1 demake for free on itch.io  here. It doesn’t re-create all of the  classic PS4  action RPG, but there are at least a few hours of gameplay.

Bloodborne PSX  supports gamepads along with mouse and keyboard controls natively. Nobody should have an issue running the game on PC either unless your computer is from 1997. If it is, what’s going on? Everything alright over there in Luddite Land? Time to upgrade, friend.

Check out the launch trailer for Bloodborne PSX  below. There’s also an extended, high-quality mirror on YouTube  here.

There’s also an incredible “box art” for the demake, which suitably radiates that authentic 90s cheese aura. The commitment here is unparalleled.

Having spent many hours on the streets of Yharnam myself, it’s incredible how authentic Bloodborne PSX  is to the original release. Most of the weapons, such as the trusty Saw Cleaver, are all here and feel amazing. The Cleric Beast battle is as suffocating as ever, and not much hunter’s grace is lost in the transition to an old-school game.
