If there’s one thing the murky, terrifying world of Bloodborne could have done with, it’s some levity. Forget your blood-starved beasts and wailing banshees, let’s just have a bunch of hunters throwing themselves around a go-kart track instead.
To celebrate the seven-year anniversary of FromSoftware’s Bloodborne, one developer has announced Bloodborne Kart. This fan game is created in the style of Bloodborne PSX, a Bloodborne demake from the same developer with a visual style of old PS1 games. If you ever played Nightmare Creatures, it’s Bloodborne if it looked like that. It’s glorious.

Bloodborne Kart will be out whenever it’s ready, but you can already check out the title screen music on YouTube. If you want to try Bloodborne PSX while you’re waiting, you can try it out on Itch.
This might have been the highlight, but fans were celebrating Bloodborne’s anniversary on Twitter all day yesterday. Elden Ring may have been the game that took FromSoftware to the mainstream, but Bloodborne and Dark Souls laid the groundwork.

If you still haven’t jumped on the hype train, you can check out our Elden Ring review.
People are already playing around with what Elden Ring would have looked like as a PS1 game, so don’t be too surprised if there’s a playable version of that in the future.
