Bleacher Report names ‘wild’ hypothetical trade scenarios for QB Lamar Jackson

Bleacher Report named a “wild” hypothetical trade situation for Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson

The Baltimore Ravens currently have five picks in the 2023 draft, with the festivities three weeks away. The team will be looking at every possible avenue to improve their team, but with the situation surrounding quarterback Lamar Jackson still looming large, it’s fair to question how much of a direction the team has at the moment.

When listing off “wild” hypothetical trade scenarios for the 2023 NFL draft, Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report took a swing at what could happen with the ongoing Jackson saga. He named two possible outcomes, first outlining a multiple-step process to get Baltimore to No. 3 overall.

“Dealing Jackson to Atlanta, Tennessee or New York (if the Rodgers trade doesn’t happen) for a selection in the top 13 and sacrificing Day 2 draft capital as well as its first-round pick in 2024 and/or its No. 22 selection in 2023 to move into the No. 3 spot occupied by Arizona.”

Gagnon then talked about the offer sheet route, discussing what Baltimore could do with that capital once acquired.

“Letting Jackson walk by neglecting to match an offer sheet from another team, which would likely give it first-round picks in 2023 and 2024 in addition to that No. 22 selection, and then packaging two or all three of those picks to land the No. 3 selection.”
