Bleacher Report names potential trade Ravens could make in October

Bleacher Report named a potential trade that the Ravens could make in October

The Baltimore Ravens have made their way to a 3-2 record over the first five weeks of the 2022 season. They’ve done so while battling different injuries and finding their way on both sides of the ball, and many could argue that the could be undefeated had they not blown two leads in Week 2 and Week 4.

When listing out the biggest potential NFL trades that could still happen in October, David Kenyon of Bleacher Report named Baltimore as a team that could make a move. He lists the team trading for Seattle Seahawks cornerback Sidney Jones, citing that his lack of playing time in Seattle and expiring contract could be enticing for the Ravens.

“Sidney Jones, meanwhile, hasn’t consistently factored into the Seattle Seahawks’ plans despite a solid 2021 campaign…Last year, he made 66 tackles and allowed only 5.4 yards per target while logging 61 percent of snaps. Jones has totaled just 34 total snaps so far this season, making five tackles in his limited action…Throw in Jones’ expiring contract, and the Seahawks have reason to start making calls. And the playoff-hopeful Ravens should not hesitate much to pick up the phone.”

Jones was a second round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2017 NFL draft, and has also spent time in Jacksonville with the Jaguars before latching on with the Seahawks. He’s totaled 147 tackles and four interceptions in his NFL career, and would provide solid cornerback depth for a team that has dealt with plenty of injuries at the position over the course of their franchise history.
