Bleacher Report gives Ravens WR help in 2022 NFL re-draft

Bleacher Report gave the Ravens help at wide receiver in a re-draft of the 2022 NFL draft

The Baltimore Ravens had a phenomenal 2022 NFL draft, selecting 11 quality prospects who have the potential to contribute both now and in the future. They added two first-round players to their roster in safety Kyle Hamilton at No. 14 overall and center Tyler Linderbaum at No. 25 overall, as well as many mid-round talents such as David Ojabo, Travis Jones, Daniel Faalele and more.

In 2022 NFL re-draft after early offseason buzz, Gary Davenport of Bleacher Report has Baltimore taking a different route in the first round, adding a wide receiver at pick No. 14 in former Penn State University star Jahan Dotson. When explaining why, Davenport talked about how it’s not hard to figure out why Baltimore could take a receiver, especially after trading wideout Marquise Brown.

“It’s not hard to connect the dots as to why the Ravens might pursue Dotson. After trading Marquise Brown during the draft, Baltimore’s wideout corps is the thinnest in the AFC North and maybe the entire conference…There’d be a real chance that by the time Week 1 rolled around, Dotson would be Baltimore’s No. 1 receiver.”

In four years at the college level, Dotson caught 183 passes for 2,757 yards and 25 touchdowns, proving that he has potential to flourish at the professional level. His draft projection was anywhere from a mid-first round prospect to a mid-second rounder, and he ultimately ended up being taken by the Washington Commanders at No. 16 overall.

Baltimore’s two first round picks in Hamilton and Linderbaum got taken at No. 12 by the Minnesota Vikings and No. 25 by the Buffalo Bills respectively. The Brown trade was not factored into this re-draft, so the Ravens only had one first round pick to work with.
