Bills’ Von Miller on return to practice: ‘Felt like riding a bike–an old bike’

Von after his first day back at #Bills practice:

Von Miller is back in the fold for the Buffalo Bills. At least in terms of practice.

The Bills (3-1) designated Miller to return from injury on Wednesday ahead of facing the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-2) in Week 5. That roster move gives Buffalo 21 days to add him to their 53-man roster, at which point, he can play on game day.

Miller has practiced, yes, but as of now he still can not play in games. At any point during those 21 days the Bills can make the move so he can suit up on game day.

As usual, Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott is going to keep his cards close to his chest.

“Having him back, it’s been a journey for him. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a guy with such a positive mindset, mental toughness,” McDermott said via video conference. “Positive guy and brings a lot to our building.”

“We’ll see, one day at a time,” the coach added.

The ol’ reliable from McDermott. One day at a time.

In all fairness, we’ve gotten the same from Miller this week, too–but his version, that overly optimistic positivity.

On his own podcast, Miller said a betting man would predict he plays in Week 5’s London matchup. He stepped back a little bit from those levels in his press conference after his return to practice… but there was still plenty of Von positivity.

“It felt like riding a bike–an old bike–but it felt like I was just hopping back on the bike again, getting back out there with my teammates,” the 34-year-old said.
