The Buffalo Bills have officially declared their interest in hosting a future NFL draft once the team has their new stadium open.
According to the Buffalo News, the Bills’ Chief Operating Officer Pete Guelli said that declared interest has now occurred. In June, Guelli said that Buffalo’s NFL team had planned to do just that and now it has happened.
At that time, Guelli said the Bills were aiming for the 2028 NFL draft but 2029 was named an option as well.
Since 2014, the NFL draft has moved location each year. In 2024, the event was held in Detroit. Next year it will be located in Green Bay and the NFL awarded the 2026 draft to Pittsburgh this past May.
The Detroit draft drew in 775,000, fans to the event.
The new Highmark Stadium’s completion is set for the 2026 season.
Bills Wire will provide updates when information is made available.
